Laboratories
Laboratories are spaces for student involvement and experimentation. Effective teaching should ensure first-hand experience of observation and operation of materials in science to develop a better understanding and appreciation. Laboratory training is also frequently used in the school for all grades to develop their skills, which helps with more advanced studies and research.
BenchMark has full-fledged laboratories devoted to Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Stem & Robotics, Mathematics Lab with abacus training equipment and Composite Science Lab.
Science Laboratries
Our well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Composite Science laboratories are designed with modern equipment, chemicals and specimens. Our Science labs are large enough for the students to move around easily. Stock checking and maintenance is done at regular intervals to ensure that the labs are in perfect order. All these labs are managed by the concerned subject PGTs of the school, who guide the students to perform experiments in a safe environment.
Computer Lab
Our school is committed to integrating technology into education. We have two spacious computer labs, one separately for the senior secondary section with fully updated computers, high speed internet connectivity, printers, projectors and a smart board. Compulsory computer education is provided for students in primary, middle and secondary classes. The Senior Secondary offers a batch with computer science electives in the main stream. Students also work in the lab on subject-related projects, under the supervision of respective subject teachers. The lab is maintained by PGT in Computer Science.
The school has designated a large space for Atal Tinkering Lab in the campus with state-of-the-art facilities, set aside for creating and enabling students to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics]. The establishment of STEM and Robotic Lab is one step to impart children more hands-on experience and activities which facilitate the deep learning of scientific concepts. The lab construction is in progress and it will be open to students shortly.
- Atal Tinkering Lab : With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
- ATL is a workspace where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL would contain educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers. Other desirable facilities include meeting rooms and video conferencing facility.
Maths Lab
Maths Lab provides an interactive platform for students to understand, practice and love mathematics through an interesting conceptual experience based on ‘Learning by Doing’ methodology. We have a spacious lab which welcomes learners of all ages to explore and unravel the mysteries of the world of mathematics. Here we let the children explore a problem using his/her own logic. The lab is managed by the head of the department of Mathematics.
